Jim “Banderton” has banned BZP and is making continous veiled threats to get rid of alcohol and cigarettes.
National has plans to crack down on P.
Labour has already cracked down on taggers and are targeting Manurewa liquor stores.
The Greens have more domestic ambitions, being extremely keen to get rid of incandescent lightbulbs and beer fridges.
“I understand the emotive connection to beer fridges, but right now you’re not helping yourself, you’re not helping the country.”
- Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority monitoring and research manager Robert Tromop
Mr Tromop, you’ll take my beer fridge from my cold dead hands!

I’ll take BZP or P, drink alcohol and puff on a joint or a cigarette if I feel like it (and in the case of nicotine and P, I don’t). I’ll frequent liquor stores (gasp!), and I will enjoy my incandescent bulbs and extraneous beer fridges.
Shove off Nanny State! What substances I choose to put in my body is up to me, and which appliances I choose to have plugged in around the house is between me, my flatmates and the power company.

Judging by the look of that beer fridge, it’s your beer purchasing rights that need to be banned ;-P
