I just finished watching the best action movie I have ever seen.
Oh wow. Everybody on the Interwebs was praying that Michael Bay wouldn’t screw this up. Well – he didn’t screw it up. I had such a great time watching Transformers. It was romantic, terrifically funny, had fun, believable acting and was jaw-droppingly gorgeous to look at. The Transformers themselves look amazingly real. Wonderful.
When I think about it, there was no political subtext, no hidden messages for the audience to notice and mentally nod at. That’s interesting, actually. The majority of movies have some political or religious moral to ponder. But Transformers was simply ‘good versus evil’. Oh yeah, and a hell of a lot of fun to watch!
It doesn’t hurt that a certain Fox stars in the film …Â
So go see it now, if you haven’t already. I think I’ll have to go see it again!
Has certainly changed my view on the movie i used to think it was just going to be bad. But i might consider it now.
