Hi Lili, glad to hear from you again. Chaos theory may suggest that all our actions have unforeseeable effects, but surely what matters in terms of responsibility is what we can foresee, and what we have a choice about. All actions have consequences; we must be conscious of that.

AnomalyInfinite, I see you a relativist. I believe there is one reality, and within that reality I am a sentient entity currently confined to a single human body, over which I have at least a modicum of control.

I don’t agree that I am “simulaneously responsible and not responsible for all which is around [me]“. I am responsible for my own actions, words, and property, and that is all.

Hence, I am responsible for my own rubbish and graffiti, and that on my own property, and other people are responsible for theirs.

BTW, I fixed the link to your blog. I enjoyed some of your poetry, thanks.

“guilt” is a classification of the limited perceptions of man. Just as “responsibility”. It is perception, which dictates what your mind accepts. You accept that “your actions” are “your responsibility” and therefore attribute that all others should “be responsible”. Perhaps you were taught as a child that lack of action leads to you being a “bad” person, which persuaded you to establish views, opinions, “a backbone”, as others who agree with you would say. It is all perspective. You are simulaneously responsible and not responsible for all which is around you, whether you are aware of it or not. you may pick up rubbish and you may protest on a website, but ignoring that others may not agree is doing no more to progress anything. left wing is the same as right wing. heard of the chaos theory? c’mon luke. incidentally has you brother written anything about “the blanket man” aka Ben Hana of wellington? the discussion of this issue was the last contact i had with him since last year. give my hello, an anonymous hello, anonymous love. semper fidelis. -TheAnomalyInfinite
