The Naxalite movement, inspired by Mao, has been fighting a low-level insurgency in remote areas of India for decades. As their attacks have become more high-tech, so has their propaganda. In June some Naxal sympathisers started the Naxal Revolution blog, in response to the older, anti-communist Naxal Watch. Unfortunately, the pro-Naxal blog is better designed, with more original content, Youtube videos, photos etc. Ironically, their most recent post is a quote from Thomas Jefferson.
Here is a Wikipedia article about Internet censorship in India. Blogspot and Typepad were blocked in July, due to the inability of ISPs to block individual blogs which apparently supported attacks against India (I don’t know if Naxal Revolution was on the list).
This Jamestown article discusses an Al-Qaeda threat to carry out spectacular attacks against Indian infrastructure. Maoists have also attacked infrastructure, though not in spectacular ways, and they have links to Islamist groups. They are a major threat to India’s internal security, especially after the Maoist victory in Nepal.
